This year’s Virgin Media Shorts competition is now closed. We’ve had over 1,600 fantastic entries, so a big thank you to all those who took part. Check out the contenders in our Films section and let us know what you think. If you’re registered as a Critic, you could also win some great prizes!
At the end of July, we’ll be announcing the Shortlist - 12 films that will be shown in 214 cinemas across the UK. One film maker will then be awarded the Grand Prize and up to £30,000 in funding to shoot their next film with the UK Film Council and Virgin Media.
For the first time, we'll also be awarding a special prize for the best film made on a mobile phone - this won't make it onto cinema screens, but it'll be seen by millions everywhere else.
