Harvey Parkes is a writer/director who works as part of the northwest film collective Balti and Havana.
Of Icelandic descent, Harvey has allied a Latin sensitivity for the magical (through a Spanish upbringing) to his Mancunian roots, and wishes to realise contemporary British cinema to rival the storytelling panache of its European counterparts.
