Birthed from a working class Bangladeshi background, the brit-asian film-maker graduated from the widely acclaimed Metropolitan film school in 2008 where he studied a one year intensive practical film-making course. Ever since then he has consistently and persistently been working on his own independent short films as well as a few music videos here and there. His last experimental short film 'the Mind State' was nominated for the Limelight Film and Arts Awards in 2011. He adores art, from painting, poetry, film-making and is considered an adept writer as he was a writer first and foremost. Coming from an asian background has definitely given him a plus side, where he has been open to asian/indian cinema as well as the many western influences. Some of his influencers/inspirations include the likes of, David Lynch, Terrence Malick, Francis Coppola, Sanjay Leela Bansali, Salvador Dali, J K Rowling and Muhammed Ali. He has a keen interest in Boxing and Travelling, meeting and greeting new and fresh faces which he implements into his writing and story telling. He is a humble and avid student of film and always believes never to become the master but remain a learning student to this craft of film-making.
