Who rocked the red carpet?
11 November, 2011 1:03pmLast night was, of course, all about the fantastic shortlisted film makers, but we couldn’t help keeping one beady eye on the red carpet arrivals, too. The BFI was jam-packed with directors, producers and stars of the silver screen , not to mention our terrific DJs Paloma Faith and Rob Da Bank who kept the party in full swing all night.
We’ve had a look through the snaps from last night's Shorts Awards and picked out a few of our favourites for your viewing pleasure.
Paloma Faith on the decks, sporting some shoe-shaped headphones
A sharp looking Douglas Booth (Great Expectations) and lady in red Vanessa Kirby (The Hour)
The gorgeous Downton Abbey ladies Joanne Froggatt and Laura Carmichael
Jodie Whittaker (Attack the Block, One Day) looking glam in monochrome
Stars of Oscar Sharp's latest short film Shaun Dooley (The Awakening, Married Single Other) and Olivia Colman (Peep Show, Green Wing)
Judge John Hurt (1984, The Elephant Man) with the beautiful rising star Kaya Scodelario (Skins, Wuthering Heights)
Craig Roberts (Submarine)
Grand Prize winner Jason Wingard celebrates with our judges Mat Whitecross, John Hurt, Chris Collins and James King
