Oscar Sharp - where is he now?

23 March, 2012 10:04am

In 2010, Oscar Sharp wowed the judging panel with Sign Language, the touching tale of an Oxford Street sign holder on his final shift. An elated Oscar took home the Grand Prize and, after receiving a prestigious BIFA nomination, soon got cracking on his next project with the BFI.

His new short, The Karman Line, tells the story of a mother with an unusual affliction and her family’s attempts to help her through it. Oscar’s working with a fantastic all star cast and crew; Olivia Coleman (Tyrannosaur, The Iron Lady, Peep Show) and Sean Dooley (The Woman in Black, The Awakening) play the lead roles, and Director of Photography Robbie Ryan hails from the sets of Wuthering Heights, Fish Tank and Patagonia.

Oscar is yet to unleash The Karman Line, thanks to a long, gruelling post-production process and a hectic schedule of paid directing work (not that he’s complaining). We can’t wait to see it and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready, but until then, sit back and watch the loveable Ben as he finally makes a move on his crush.
