Blog all about it: Hey!
9 May, 2012 11:00am

A super cute animation and a super cute blog to boot. The lovely people that made Hey! - entered into the 2012 competition - pinged us a link to their blog, full of lovely storyboard sketches and behind the scenes secrets, like:
Why is it so brown?
All the characters, props, sets, backgrounds in HEY! were drawn onto envelopes that my place-of-study’s careers department gave me when asking for advice about putting a CV together and hunting down jobs/internships. Very useful! THANKS! Because of this, I thought I’d leave the colouring down to the medium’s natural, beautiful odor… BROWN!
As you know, we at Shorts HQ love getting an insight into a film's production process or inspiration. We also love looking at pretty sketches, and these ones are in their own slideshow so even better...

Like the blog? Like the film? Leave the team a note to say hey! And if you're making your own film for this year's competition, start blogging and we'll tell the world for you.
