About the film maker

matthew-mcguchan

I'm a freelance screenwriter and director living and working in Ipswich, Suffolk. I've been writing for years, making short films again over the last 18 months. My entry into this year's London Sci-Fi Film Festival 48-hour challenge, Tracker, won first prize, and the team - Aron Spall on camera and editing, Simon McCorry on music and sound, Tony Mayor on digital effects - were encouraged enough to make this short. We shot for about 7 hours on very blustery Wednesday last week (June 17), all very hectic but I'm pleased with end result, I can't deny it. Props to Mira Dovreni and Philippe Spall of Penny Dreadful Productions for braving the cold waters of the Stour on the Essex/ Suffolk border, and to Tom Butterworth for wielding his rod so effectively...

Great Film

I loved it! Bit of comedy and a very clever twist! Good luck with the competition! (not that your gonna need it!)

Job done well

I enjoyed it. I liked the fact it was a bit strange and loved the lack of vocal/script. Well done
