About Leepy

908
Hi. I make very low budget films on 16mm and mini dv around my day job in advertising. I have written a little for children's TV, most recently episodes of Sooty and Bob the Builder (Trix and the Otters). I have written several feature screenplays. TROLLEY BOY is close to my heart. Quick pitch: Of Mice and Men in a Midlands' supermarket. If you're a production company who would like to read TROLLEY BOY: lee.price@gcapmedia.com/ 07967 052706 There IS a shorter DOODLEBUG version here - search DOODLEBUG. Anyway, I have screenplays to back up the shorts, so if interested please get in touch.

A great short. Funny, great 'old school' special effects and a tight plot. Plus actual real tension. Love the way at the end....Actually better not say - but LOVE the end. Well done.

This was a real treat, I have made several cartoons that lasted 3 mins 45 seconds but this was great. Liked the use of the pulling of focus just before the ramp shots. Really had substance. What else have you made?

Hi Tony. Thank you very much for your kind comments. I'm glad you liked Doodlebug! I've posted the full version of Doodlebug; I may have shot myself in the foot (!) cos everyone's watching that instead of this shorter version (whcih I think works very well in 2 and a half minutes). You asked what else I've made; well, I've also posted the following films (all REALLY low budget): Camping (in three parts); Game Over; The Leaves Are Dancing; Doodlebug The Best Ever Fifty Quid Monster Movie You'll Ever See, and A Walk Along Gold Street. I'm also about to post the film I've JUST finished: Brother Father. That'll be on here soon. Thanks for watching. Lee :-)

    Lee,

What an excellent piece of work!

It just goes to show that an excellent story and some creativity trump budget everytime!!!!

Nice camera work, great direction and the animation is top notch - well done!!!

All wonderful COMMENTS and all from LEEPY himself.
See the wonderfully nasty comments he left on my films 'Little Snaps of Horror' and 'The Crook'
When not praising his own work he sometimes goes by the name LIND or The Critic.

Hi Graham. No I don´t. (The Critic left a REALLY nasty comment on one of my other fils. So why would I do that to myself)

Apologies again for the comment, but... I don´t vote for myself, bud

Oh, well. Doodlebug got long-listed but didn't make the final short-list. So's life. Good luck to the one's selected, I really mean that.

And thank you to all the people who posted kind comments; you didn't have to, but you did. So, again, thanks.

    Signing off.

Ooh, boo hoo. Didn't get through! Oh, well. Sure I'm not the only disappointed film maker on this site. LIND - thanks for your really kind comments - and thanks to everyone else who took the trouble to cheer me up with lovely words. Right, all the live action is shot on my latest short film, Bumbling. The blue screen is all set up in the attic (more fabric from Hinckley market!), so I can go to work on the special effects. It's been a rollercoaster. Next year! Watch this space - NEXT YEAR!!!!!

Doodlebug

A boy is chased by his doodle. Will he survive? My first special effects film, made at home for fifty quid. Shot on mini DV; edited on Premiere Elements. The garage was the blue screen studio! Thanks.
