About Leepy

908
Conceived in a dockside brothel, son of either pig farmer or continental trucker. Grew up in a barn with a one armed scarecrow mum. At seven discovered I could make my heart glow like ET. Mother sent me to work as a street lamp. Had an operation to remove the glow. Procedure was BEFORE anaesthetic was invented. My doctor found a conjoined twin growing in my head, which will be removed later this year. I´m calling him Derek The Conjoined Twin. He likes swimming and rugby. Apparently I also write all negative reviews, under assumed names. Seeking counseling on an ongoing basis for this problem.

i loved it! refreshing to see something so light hearted in a short film context! and for the budget, extremely high production values!

you obviously enjoy and put a lot of effort into your work, and it shows.

Wow. Thank you so very, very much... I'll call you Mr West End! I really don't take the negative comments to heart cos I guessed there were alterior motives for them, and anyhoos I love the process of writing and making films. The real joy is in the doing; the accolades are (very nice!) icing on the cake! (And it is nice to get some r4cognition after all these years of making stuff at home). I'm currently preparing the model for my next short. I was gonna call it Bee Movie, but that title's been taken now, so I might call it Bumble, or Mr Bumble. It'll be about a slob who has to do battle with a bee! Not a serious film with a message, just a kinetic piece of fun! If you'd like to see my work that has a darker edge, I've posted my short film CAMPING here on VMS - it's in three parts.

Again - thanks for the kind words. Onwards...

As someone who has been in the dubbing game for nearly 30 years, nice one! It ticks all the right boxes.

I especially noticed the care on getting the camera angles on the lad so that you never forgot he had been shrunk - he remained below our level. Well, thought out, many film makers miss that kind of detail.

This was an amazing film-I hope you get somewhere with this film alone ( I've also got a film on this site-yours is my favorite of them all) this film is truly original and exciting. I loved it. The lad in it is a great young actor, the bluescreen is brilliantly done, the soundtrack/effects are spot on and everything else I might have missed but absorbed during my anticipation of wondering what was going to happen next was clearly doing the job-two fold!. Very clever and very well done. The insect hand thing at the end was great-means you now have to make a sequel! great!

It's just that having read some of your responses on here you seemed like a decent bloke and not the sort of f*ckwit that would make a statement like the one below. Thought I'd check with you first before deciding whether or not to stoop to your level.

Hey thanks Brooksie. Glad someone got a laugh ut of it. It´s a heatwave here in Mallorca and I had a bit too much time on my hands (and a bit too much Sangria!) and had a li´l pop at fim makers I don´t rate. Admittedly, I got too personal with Graham, but I´ve apologised for that. Bur really, I hate all the - I´m a victim, give me a hand out. It works for arts council, but not me. Anyway, Gray probably reckons this is me having a conversation with myself. Wanna have sex, or would that be masturbation? Anyway, sock puppet signing off. (BTW, did I say I was the first person in my family to travel on a bus?)

Maximus Decimus Meridius, is that you? Husband to a murdered wife? Father to a murdered son? Your last film with Scott was @#*!e. From Bladerunner to... They Came To Talk... a Chick Flick! I´m disappointed in you.

You don't come across very well posting nasty comments on other peoples' profiles. You're an adult (supposedly), who's responsible for bringing up a child. (I worry for his future). Grow up!

I can't believe your film took 10months to make!

Aah... I seen to have done it again... and this time sober. But really, GrowUpLeePrice... I´ve already apologised to Graham for the drunken outburst about his rehab. Everything else I´ve written is justified, e.g. the whinging in the cv biogs, the fact that I think Nightprancing is an overproduced tv sketch, that I find Graham´s work incoherent. WHat? We all have to be non-critical and cross our fingers while we wait to see if we get to meet Mr Spacey? So who´s your buddy? Graham or Acteonbloke?

Man, this is the SEVENTH consecutive self-posting on my film page. I´M NOT MENTAL! Please, someone else please say something! Oh, and GULP, I was impressed with your punctuation on your posting, so there may be some hope for you. Just get a life, BITTY. I WANT BITTY. Right, beer, beach... relax...

Actually peoples´´ should be people´s, so I take my last comment back. But DO come back to me. Five pints and some sangria, now. (Last night before flight back to Blighty). Christ, EIGHT consecutive comments. I´m NOT mental! Actually, can I say one more thing? Graham Rathlingtonwhatsisname says on his whiney profile that he doesn´t really want to win and the competition organisers can stick it. What a mealy mouthed fooker. I REALLY want to win this competition. I´want my talent recognised and I want the opportunity to stretch that talent - i.e. make a feature. I´ve been making films since I was 15. That´s over 20 years experience. Now´s the time. SO move over, brother, I´m comning thru! (So what if people don´t like me. Jim Cameron is an asshole to work for, apparently, but that doesn´t stop ALIENS being the best kick ass sequel ever made!) But really, my mum did make me work on the streets as a street lamp as soon as my heart started to glow).

The spanish receptionist has just locked me in! But I´ll make the flight. Really. I´locked in! Man, I wish i hadn´t got drunk and had a go at Gray and Acteobloke. Danile can´t help his epilepsy, and Gray may have had some bad @#*! in his life to make him hit the bottle. But still. Do you TELL the world about it to advance your career? Man, I´ve got some @#*! I could tell you about my life over the last five years. But I´m not gonna. Cos when it comes down to the wire it´s about the film that counts. DO YOU LIKE MY FILM? The fact I was forced to work for Fagin while i made it has nothing to do with it. We all have to face @#*! in our lives. Deal with it. Anyway, I´m still not over the moon about my conduct (while slightly inebriated) this holiday. But i really do believe that Doodlebug - the two and a half minute version - is great film making ona home budget. And my other stuff is here on the website if you want to look. (Camping being my pride and joy). I just get fooked off by diletantes with over inflated egos. And as a working blokie ive never taken a hand out from the gov in my life. Which is why im not gonna reval my personal life here. it´s the content of the film that should count. not the struggle behind it. I love film, by the way. Even here on hol in mallorca im planning my next one (which is partly shot - im just working out the special effetcs). @#*! im a bit drunk. but this is me looking after my family. making films inbetween the crisis. and i love the process. i love making films. and i like all kinds of films. from withnail and i to star wars. You know, from a filmed stage play like Of Mice and Men (MAlkovich-Sinise) to frickin Austin Powers. I really do adore the medium. And the real joy comes from the doing - from creating something from nuthin. I just hate the whole political thing. like this. and i know i started it, by calling Graham on a few points. god, i´m drunk. Six pints, and the omlette´s just arrived at the table - so my partnet tells me just now. SO better signh off. Really pissed! Be back home in blighty tomorrow. Night. (I´ll SO regret typing this in the AM!)

All right. Here it is. AFter eight pints and a jug of snagria on my last day of the hol. My partner is a paranoid scizophrenic. Her first episode was five years ago. and since then she has failed to self medicate for the whole five years. so as well as keeping down the job and looking after my child ive had that to deal withy. and making sure she wasn´t sectioned. Imagine all that AND trying to creaqte some good art. ok i said it. i´m as bad as the fookin epileptic (who´d better watch the pap on the red carpet) and the guy who can´nt stop shovin bottles in his gob. Midnight and flight beckons.
