A 20 year old student of Staffordshire university, originally coming from a photography and arts background, finding film a natural progression from this.
A very sensitive issue nowadays conveyed in a touching and original way - as far as the technical stuff, i'd say it was put together very well - some framing off slightly at points, but thats really it. a brill bit of film, and great storytelling!

i agree, a delicate issue approached in a tentative and mature manner. the first half is a bit weak, but towards the end you genuinely capture the anxiety and confusement of the characters, and it left me wondering what they might have been going through.
Although it looks like a rough cut, perhaps something to do with the upload quality, i have no idea, its a nice piece of film.
Watched it twice. I don't know what it was shot on, but it looks great (if you tell me this is video, I'll wonder what I'm doing wrong and be jealous as hell). Nicely framed and edited. The guy with the hat (Ben?) has an acting career ahead of him - presence and acting talent combined. Nice simple idea which would be even more powerful in a longer film. And I mean it - not just because you liked my movie. Well done!
cheers for the comments everyone, and yes, it was shot on Mini DV! i dont quite have the funds to shoot on film as of yet, ha.
keep them coming folks

Very impressed to see a locally produced film and of such a high quality. Excellent lighting - really created the mood and intensity. The filming captured the sensitivity & anticipation very professionally. Stoke is soon to have a world recognised £30m media centre & will be the world HQ for a top international broadcaster. videodrome - the sky is the limit ! Well done guys - You have done us proud.

Very sweet film, shame about the sound troubles. Camera work is brilliant and love the guy with curly hair. Understated and vulnerable as the role requires.
cheers stokelad! ive heard about this media centre being built, that would be the perfect job for me i beleive. i have no idea when its built, but i expect ill be trying rather hard to get work from them!
Drama involving Alex and James, two adolescents living amongst a concrete jungle in Stoke-on-Trent. It reflects teenage angst towards sexuality, and the confusing nature of their first gay experience
