This is brilliant. Can't believe I'm the first to comment on it. I've just watched all ten or so of the films so far and this is easily my favorite. I'm giving it 5 stars and a right thumbs up.
I love this film - very topical too, especially for today!

Why is the Routemaster gone? Why? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?! Ken has been a good Mayor but he has blotted his copybook despatching the rouemaster. I live near Manchester and have only ever been to London three times in my life.

The most efficient bus transport EVER - ANYWHERE , but it was done down by the H&S angle - that having a jump on and jump off was deemed unsafe - rather than like so much in life being left to the individual to decide and take account of their own responsibility and risk - thank you risk assessors!

Brilliant animation! I loved the Routemasters and travelled on them for many years. I hope we will see them return with modifications in the near future. London buses really do need conductors back on board. Java, i don't know what sort of TV set you have got, but it appears you are picking up an extra-terrestial channel! I think you may have meant GEORGE GALLOWAY dancing with PETE BURNS...?!?!?
...now there's another subject! Perhaps you only wrote that in order to get a response. Well you succeeded!!!

The Routemaster, everybody's favourite except for Peter, the great illiterate and well known typists error. The ex mayor was well known for spending and wasting the tax payers money on the Mercedes Fireball and the most dangerous public vehicle on the road. Bring back a real bus Boris.

I love it! Brilliant, witty film. Ken did a few good things as Mayor, but killing off the iconic Routemaster and replacing it with the lethal bendy-bus (as a London cyclist I can tell you they scare the *&%*$ out of me) made his demise inevitable. Now for the Boris Show! Whole new ways to appal us no doubt. Maybe sitting in a winged swivel chair, stroking a white Persian cat...

Am I the only one here that thinks this is terrible? A geniune assault on the eyes and mind. I'm tired of seeing people use the vectorise function on macromedia flash to give consistency to an otherwise lacklustre piece. Fine, it's a comment on the situation with buses in london, and thus people who are in london and lament the buses identify with it. This does not a good short make.

Sorry to be annoying, the reason why routemaster buses stoppd ws because a lot of the bus conductors were being beaten/stabbed/assaulted on duty.

i liked the graphics, very simple but effective, however hated the music, and didn't particularly understand what was going on. I understand it was a form of mick take of king kong (i think peter jacksons version was a suitably bad enough version) yet maybe its because ive never seen the busses or have any idea what went on with it. found it to be mundane, if the same style (cut outs or however it was made) was applied to a different story line set maybe further into the past then it could have been very effective

ok, nice colours, but the story... hmmm... you obviously don't remember the @#*! capacity of the route master and that it was impossible to get on a bus during rush hour pre bendy bus.
Not being from London, I didn't really get too excited about the subject matter, but I could appreciate the humour (especially the mayor's buttons) and enjoyed it. Check out our entry - called "Mr. Alice" - and let us know what you think!
i liked the way it was done. could have been better ways of delivering it though. you have bits and bobs of ideas from other films: 'king kong' for the theme to it, and i even heard a slight reminiscence from star wars when ken appeared (musically) plus is ken happy for you to post his face on here. think you need permission for that sort of thing. still, i can see the flaws but still think it was good.

it's the ugliest piece of animation I've seen in a long, long time.
Commemorating the end of the London Routemaster bus commuter service, "Bus Kong" is an animation that exploits the iconography of the Routemaster, London and a certain giant ape movie.

Some nice touches in this, especially Ken's push-button panels. I agree with others that the animation is, obviously, pretty straightforward (not to mention the keyboard score), but then it does give it a sort of Monty Python / Soviet propaganda fusion feel that is entertaining in its naiveté.
